1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Pausera, a private journaling and reflection app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using Pausera.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Pausera.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
- Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your email address current so we can reach you.
3. Your content
You own everything you write in Pausera. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, display, back up, and process your content so the app can function — including sending text you submit to an AI provider when you request a Kenji insight.
We do not use your journal entries for advertising or sell them.
4. Plans and limits
- Free: up to 3 journal entries per week and 3 Kenji insights, without the ability to delete reflections.
- Premium Monthly: $9.99 per month. Premium Yearly: $69.99 per year.
- Premium unlocks unlimited entries and insights, deletion of your reflections, and the full feature set.
- Prices are shown in US dollars and may vary by App Store region and local taxes.
5. Billing, renewal, and cancellation
- Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling stops future renewals; Premium remains active until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under their refund policy. Subscriptions purchased through Stripe can be managed from the billing page in the app.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use Pausera for anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful to others.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data, break authentication, scrape, or overload the service.
- Do not resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or its AI outputs as your own product.
7. Not medical or crisis care
Pausera supports personal reflection. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service, and Kenji insights are AI-generated suggestions that can be wrong. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Pausera reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or retire features, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date on this page and, where appropriate, announced in the app.
9. Termination
You may stop using Pausera and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that violates these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Pausera is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
