1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) are small pieces of data stored on your device by a website. Pausera uses them sparingly — mostly to keep you signed in and to remember the preferences you set.
2. Cookies Pausera uses
- Strictly necessary — authentication and session tokens that keep you signed in, plus security tokens that protect form submissions. Without these the app cannot work.
- Preferences — local storage entries that remember choices such as theme, Kenji settings, and dismissed prompts.
- Consent — a record of your cookie choices so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
- Payments — Apple and Stripe may set their own cookies during a checkout or subscription flow, governed by their policies.
Pausera does not run advertising cookies and does not sell data collected through cookies.
3. Managing your choices
You can accept, decline, or fine-tune non-essential cookies from the consent banner, and reopen it at any time via the “Preferences” link it provides. You can also clear cookies and site data from your browser settings — note that doing so signs you out of Pausera.
4. Mobile app
In the iOS app, the equivalent of cookies is secure on-device storage used to keep your session and preferences. Removing the app clears that storage.
